NSTP-2 Call for Proposals for Sub-Orbital Spaceflight and Small Satellite Launch R&D Projects - Deadline 16th Feb 2016

Following the publication of the UK’s National Space Policy, the Government intends to provide support for research into spaceflight. On behalf of the UK Space Agency, the Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation and Space Technology (CEOI-ST) invites proposals for industrial research and development projects that will contribute to the introduction of sub-orbital flight and satellite launch operations in the UK, as part of the National Space Technology Programme (NSTP).

UKSpaceLABS Principia Day Launch at the London Science Museum


On the 15th December, our country makes history. Our one and only Tim Peake will be the first British astronaut to fly to and stay on the International Space Station - such a monumental moment for us. We will be taking over the London Science Museum (well some of it )  in line with his launch and going all out on the day to show you what the UK are up to in the world of space science.
We'll have SkinSuit, how to perform CPR in space, the physiology of space walks, astronaut skills challenges, diving simulations, late night talks on female health in space and so much more! We will be there all day and night, so come along and see us, say hi, and maybe learn a thing or two; it's free entry

As we are building up to Tim Peake’s Launch date, Tim is making last visit to the United Kingdom before launch on the 15th December to the International Space Station - There will be launch-day celebrations across the nation!


As the British ESA astronaut Tim Peake visits the UK before his upcoming launch, the UK Space Agency has announced that it will be holding 4 large launch-day events in the nation’s capitals. With 16 smaller events at discovery and science centres across the United Kingdom.
