Two space technology funding opportunities

National Space Technology Programme (NSTP) Notice of planned funding calls Date 22/03/2018 The UK Space Agency will be opening calls inviting the submission of project proposals for National Space Technology Programme (NSTP) grant funding. NSTP offers support by funding industry, academia and other (not for profit) government institutions which are developing technology and building new capabilities for the UK Space sector. Industry-industry and industry-academia collaborations are encouraged and there is no restriction on which type of organisation can lead. More information about the programme is available here. The UK Space Agency will be opening funding calls for each of the NSTP grant types - Flagships, Fast Tracks, Pathfinders and Grants for Exploratory Ideas – and the planned schedule is:

Grant type - Project duration - Maximum grant value - Call opens - Call closes

Flagships - 24 months - £1M - April 2018 - June 2018

Fast Tracks - 12 months - £200,000 - July 2018 - September 2018

Pathfinders - 6 months - £75,000 - April 2018 - May 2018

Grants for Exploratory Ideas - 3 months - £10,000 August 2018 - September 2018

All relevant information and application templates will be published on the NSTP pages of the UK Space Agency web site when a funding call has been opened. Please do not submit project proposals until the relevant funding call has been opened - speculative applications for NSTP funding will not be considered.
